The Baths
The Baths of the Popes, in the centuries place preferred by the ancient Romans to whom the classical Latin authors have left us a testimony, then regenerative place for the Popes, mentioned also by Dante and in the sonnets of Michelangelo, are among the most beautiful spas of Italy and between the few fed by a natural-curative source. The Bullicame, sulphurous-sulphate-bicarbonate-alkaline-earth fluoride source with its 58° C, has always been appreciated for its therapeutic qualities. Its remarkable value lies in the chemical-physical characteristics that make it suitable for many uses in thermal therapy (always among the most appreciated in Medical Hydrology), in particular in the treatment and prevention of chronic diseases of the whole respiratory system and the osteoarticular one; also diseas of the skin,
of the genital apparatus and of the metabolic diseases find a great benefit thanks to the treatments carried out with this water. The same source feeds a beautiful monumental pool of over 2,000 square meters. For the guests of the VesConte, a special treatment is reserved, being the only Bolsena structure exclusively affiliated with the Terme dei Papi di Viterbo.
